Doctors in Berlin who speak good English and/or other languages

This is a useful website which provides names and contact details of medical specialists in all fields who speak English and/or other languages. It is a databank which is updated regularly with more than 10.000 doctors in Berlin.
1. Click on "Start"
There is a box with the following 5 tabs:

Suche nach Fachrichtung" (search according to field of study)

Therapieschwerpunkt" (specialization within this field)

Name"

KOMBI-Suche" (lets you combine the previous tabs)

Erweiterte Suche" (lets you add the street in which you hope to find a doctor)
2. Click on "Suche nach Fachrichtung"

Under "Fachrichtung - [Bitte wählen Sie aus]" please choose the field of study, for example: "Allgemeinmedizin" (general medicine). We translated the list of all fields of study given (pdf-file enclosed).

Choose your area ("Stadtbezirk") if you wish: "Mitte" or "Tempelhof" etc. You can also search in all of Berlin ("Alle Bezirke").

Or: key in the postal code you prefer (for example '10115').

Select the language ("Sprache")

"Suchergebnisse" lets you specify the amount of hits, i.e., "up to 20" (max. 20)

"Sortiert nach" lets you sort the results according to index or name
(These last two steps can be ignored)
3. Therapieschwerpunkt

Under "Therapieschwerpunkt" you find a huge list of extremely specialized fields - which we haven't translated as many are so rare. Try www.leo.org, a good online dictionary, for translation.
4. "Name"

If you already know the surname ("Nachname") of the doctor - here you can find his or her contact details.
5. The last two tabs ("Kombi-Suche" & "Erweiterte Suche") are simply a combination of the searches above.
6. On the far left is a blue area where you can click on "Notdienste" = Berlin's emergency services (listed in handout “Medical Emergency Services”).
